PENGETAHUAN REMAJA PUTRA TENTANG DAMPAK MEROKOK

Smoking is one of the behavioral problems that are detrimental to health, including among young
men. Smoking at a young age will worsen health conditions in reproductive age, including
experiencing cancer. And nowadays many teenagers in Sei agul sub district are smoke and do not
know the impact of smoking on health. This study is a descriptive study, with a sample of 30 young
men who smoked in the 15 Sei Agul Medan sub-district. Data was collected using questionnaires,
followed by editing, coding, scoring, tabulating, and data analysis. The results of the study found
that young men aged 13-16 years as much as 50%, high school education as much as 50.0%,
information sources through electronic media as much as 56.7%, good knowledge only as much
as 13.3%. With the results of this study as input for policy makers in developing health promotion
programs to increase young men's knowledge of the dangers of smoking
